Internet Marketing is a fascinating subject, so broad... and with so many facets to it... Search Engine Optimisation, Black Hat Technology, Video & Audio, Social Networks, Affiliate Programs, PPC, Banner Advertising, Linking Strategies, Onpage Optimisation, Email Marketing, Viral Marketing, Refer-a-Friend, Blogs, RSS and so it goes on and on and on...

We're told that with the billions of web pages, Internet Marketing and especially domination in the Search Engines are the keys to success online.

That may be true, but Internet Marketing on it's own is not always the answer. In today's markets, the winners will be the people who release usuable and beneficial tools that are process driven... and this is so apparent in many of our online processes which are so fractured.

It's interesting that Facebook can dominate with millions upon millions of users from around the world who use their applications and yet many organisations across business can barely link Sales Order Proecessing, Procurement and Project Management in one country let alone globally.

So Internet Marketing maybe part of the story, albeit an important one... but as we develop the Internet still further, we may find that our reliance on it becomes less and less.

Of course, if you're selling a commodity product in competition with many other Suppliers then Internet Marketing will be important. However don't overlook the real value of Client Engagement, Process Interaction alongside good old fashioned price, delivery and service when you put together your websites and Internet Marketing strategy!
